WHAT HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED:
JMEC has been civil engineer for an intersection safety improvements project. In the construction phase, the contractor accidentally damaged the existing top deck of a concrete culvert. JMEC has helped the City to design the repair that can support legal traffic loads, and the design was in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. The repair utilized corrugated metal deck that became part of the structural system and did not require removal after the construction, hence the construction was simplified.
